Vacation Part 2

Here's the second half of our beach vacation pictures. It was sad leaving but I'm so happy to be HOME!

I could watch the boys play in the ocean all day. The weather was perfect - sunny with a breeze.

After a while down at the beach the boys would want to head to the pool.

This is the look of a little boy who just finished eating blackened Mahi Mahi! He LOVES it!

I tried to get a picture of the two of them. This is the best I could get. Haha!

Here's proof the Michael and I were actually there as well.

Carter ran and played the entire time we were at the ocean. Miles would go out and play some but not like Carter!

My tumbler from That Inspired Chick made it on vacation too! It kept my drinks nice and cool.

Me and Miles

Me and Carter

Me and Jackson

Jackson asked me to take pictures of them jumping in the pool so I thought I would share them as well!

Carter doing his thing.

And Miles who still holds his nose when he jumps in. It's a work in progress with him!

Dinner at our favorite place - The Gulf Stream. The are getting tired of me taking their pictures! Haha!

My goofball. Michael would not smile right in any picture I took of him. But I'll keep him!

Nothing says fun like mini golf. Haha!! Some one always asked for a redo or some one was always cheating. But...I can say I beat everyone and I wasn't wearing glasses or contacts.

It's a joke in our family that some one usually gets sick. Well, I had a sinus infection the week before this trip. We thought that was our sickness but Carter wanted more. He had bullus impetigo. This is part of it and it looks really good here. I'm thankful our pediatrician is beyond awesome. We texted him a picture of Carter's leg and he called him some meds since we were out of town.

Mountain Vacation Part 3

This is the final post about our vacation. I didn't think we did that much but apparently we did!

We went to Pigeon Forge for the day and it was interesting. We all enjoyed watching the guys working with the forge making knives. We also enjoy the show on television. (That's life with boys!)

This hat fits his personality.
There were lots of little shops that we checked out...

including a used bookstore with odds and ends mixed in.

My favorite was the pottery store. They made everything "in house" and had a work space so people could talk to the potter. It was neat and I wanted just about everything I saw.

And another fun candy store!

The arcade was the boys favorite. And Miles ALWAYS has to play a game where he rides a motorcycle. I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come! :)

We stopped at the playground a couple of times. This is at the bottom of the mountain.

These two goofed off at dinner at Bogarts. It was a neat little restaurant.

This is my favorite view. We had to stop for a second to get a picture.

Boom made cootie catchers for the boys.

The house we were in isn't available when we can go back in the fall so we check out a new rental house. Ummm...This is the stove. Just imagine what the rest of the house looks like! Haha! I hope one of us can operate this bad boy!

The boys had a blast mining for gems.

We went back to the ranch for lunch! It was THAT good!

We found a junk store to walk thru. We saw some cool items.

It's a shame my boys have no personalities.

The first time J has ordered dessert in a restaurant!

Finding neat items on a nature walk.

We went back to our favorite candy store for treats to eat on the way home.

This was the morning leaving the mountains. Do you know how hard it was to come home to 90 degree weather?!?!

We had a great time in the mountains and can't wait to go back in the fall!

2017 Mountain Vacation (Part 2)

It's time for part two of our mountain vacation!

This is the day we shopped around Maggie Valley and then headed up to the Cataloochee Ranch. It was the best place ever!

A morning view of the "smokey" mountains.

One mile up and the temperature is perfect!

This was the view to the right while we ate lunch.

And this was to our left.

The boys could run and run and run.

This is a tadpole. A TADPOLE! It was massive.

It was so peaceful.

The restaurant was small. They had indoor seating, a screened in porch and an outdoor porch. We ate outside both times we were there and it was beautiful!

I can't stand pictures of food but I could not help myself. This burger was pretty dang good.

After we ate we played. The swing was a great place to relax after lunch.

I thought I had a picture with all 5 of us but I didn't.

These will have to do.

It's a shame my boys have no personality. :)

The boys are dark in this picture but I still love it!

This was on the way out. It was so quiet up at the ranch. I can't wait to go back. Cataloochee was our favorite find this trip.
