Hello Monday!

A fun link up HAS to make Monday's brighter!

I'm really missing this view...

We have been on vacation in the mountains of NC for the past 11 days. Today we are back to reality. We are jumping head first into this week with dentist appointments, school supply shopping and registering for school! WHAT!! I have to register Miles and Carter tomorrow and Jackson gets to register Wednesday. I can't believe school starts in a few weeks. Summer has gone by WAY to fast. I'm going to miss the boys while I swim and they are at school! Haha!

We really enjoyed the cooler weather in the mountains while it was hot and humid at home. I have TONS of pictures to get posted this week and I can't wait to recap our vacation. We had lots of fun and I can't wait to get back to the mountains in October. Who wouldn't fall in love with a view like this?

It's off to do laundry and drag 3 boys to the grocery store!

Friday Favorites

It's always fun road tripping with these boys. Thank goodness for tablets! They usually do fairly well but after a couple of hours we have to pull out the tablets so they can play.

It's always a favorite to find new places to explore. I'll do a post on this soon! It was so pretty!

Used Bookstores!
Isn't this the cutest? This is in Maggie Valley and it's a cute little bookstore attached to an ice cream shop.
This is a hole in the wall used bookstore in Waynesville. It was cramped and smelly but it was interesting!

This was a neat and tidy used bookstore in Pigeon Forge and it had lots of older trinkets.

I love a cute t shirt and this is a favorite!

This is my new favorite mug and I LOVE it! The view happens to be a favorite as well! I got it at a pottery place in Pigeon Forge. I think I could have purchased one of everything in the store. It was so neat to see all of the pieces.

Carpool Book Club

I've never posted The One Year Bible before but I do read it. It's a neat way to read the bible thru in a year. I got it after January 1 so I'm not on the right day and some times I try to read several a day to catch up.

I stumbled across a Robyn Carr book a few years ago. I'm sure the cover caught my attention so I had to check it out. What We Find was the first book and it is a sweet story. I couldn't wait for the second one to be released. Any Day Now is the second in the series and it was a good read. I have read a lot of her books and I have enjoyed each one.

I'm a little disappointed in this book. Sydney Landon is from SC and wrote The Danver Series which was centered in Myrtle Beach and Garden City. We vacation in Garden City so it was neat to start  reading the books while there on vacation. I've read lots of her books and I love all of them. This is the first of a new series and it wasn't what I expected it to be. Hopefully the next one will be better because I know I'll read it.

The Magnolia Story took me FOREVER to read. I really love their television series but I just couldn't get into the book. It was just blah to me. There were some good sections of the book but overall I just wasn't into it.

If I thought The Magnolia Story took forever to read  this one was even longer. It was a super cute book and I'm glad I read it. It had lots going on and lots of name to remember but it was easy to follow.

What's Up Wednesday

What we're eating this week...
We're having yummy grilled pork chops with fresh veggies and going out way too much!

This was just one of the amazing meals this week!
I'll post pictures of the view later. It was just as amazing.

I'm not a fan of coconut but these were yummy!

It's another pinterest find from Mom on Timeout

What I'm reminiscing about...
The SUMMER!! Where did it go? We register for school next Tuesday and Wednesday!

What I'm loving...
The cooler weather in the mountains and all of the swimming we have been doing.

What we've been up to...
Swimming and trying to stay cool. South Carolina has been HOT!!

What I'm dreading...
The boys going back to school. It's going to be a challenge to get all 3 boys up, fed and ready to leave by 7:20. And I'll have to pack lunches. I did order some cool containers to hopefully I'll be able to pack most of the lunch the night before.

What I'm working on...
I've just about caught the blog up to date and it feels great! I've also been thinking about how I'm going to get 3 sets of homework and reading in ADD cook supper. I need to start planning ahead and have everything prepped before I pick the boys up from school. I think I'll be using my Erin Condren planner a lot this school year!

What I'm excited about...
Reading the new books I picked out this past month. And the FALL! I'm so over this SC heat. Bring on the cooler weather!

What I'm watching/reading...
I love Big Brother but I have not been able to watch it as much as I would like. I'm reading a book by Fannie Flagg and it's super cute. I'll do my carpool book club post tomorrow!

What I'm listening to...
Kidz Bop on Amazon Prime Music. It's awesome!

What I'm wearing..
Bathing suits and anything else that's cool. Dresses and flip flops have been staples this summer.

What I'm doing this weekend...
It's our last weekend in the mountains so we will soak up this beautiful view, the cool mountain air and relax (and shop and eat)!

What I'm looking forward to next month....
It's going to be nice to have some "me" time but I'm going to miss the boys while they are in school! It's always good to have some sort of schedule during the school year.

What else is new...
Nothing that I can think of...

Friday Favorites

It's always a favorite when I switch out the quilts on our beds!

Carter's "critter" quilt has different animals on it.

Miles has his "star" quilt. All of the fabric has some type of star on it.

Here's a picture of their beds.

Jackson's quilt is one that Michael used on his bed when he was little.

It's one of my favorites!

My quilt is one my mother in law made for her bed and passed it down to me. I wanted a quilt with yellow in it. I love it!

A former co worker and her sister started selling Agnes and Dora clothes. The clothes are super soft. I have a dress/tunic and a pair of black legging. The leggings are hands down the best! I constantly rub my leg because they are so soft.

My neighbors.

They let us swim all of the time. They are the best neighbors ever! She even brought out her home made guacamole and lime a rita's for us to try! See....she is the best. (We also help them out when ever they ask. We are just as nice to them!)

While the boys swim I get to check out her flowers!

She has such a green thumb.

She is always posting pictures of gorgeous flowers and I'm all like look at the weed in my yard...it's got a pretty purple flower on it now.

This flower amazed me. It looks so neat with the little flowers in the "cups."

I finally started one of my "new" books and I could not think of a better place to read.

I know I posted about Amazon Music last week but oh my. It's been awesome. I finally connected Bluetooth to my car (all by myself) and we listen it to all the time. The boys love it as much as I do.

I've had fun scrolling thru checking albums out. I about died laughing when I saw the Fresh Beat Band. I've had ENOUGH of them. Thank goodness my boys do not like that any more.

And the Wiggles and Barney...no thanks. I'm sure these are life savers for some people.

We've been singing along with Kidz Bop and I love it! Haha! The boys think I'm crazy when I know the songs.

My awesome neighbor brought out her Bose speaker so we could listen while we swam. I fell in love with this little speaker so much I now have one! It's definitely a favorite!!
