Friday Favorites

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. I'm trying to decide on several little gifts to send for the teachers this year. There's so many cute ideas on Pinterest. Here's a few of my favorites and they would be super easy to do.

What boy doesn't like creepy crawly things? Miles and Carter's class studied all types of bugs this week. We even found a few in our yard to send to class!

Here's Carter and the turtle Boom found on the side of the road and took it to their class. The kids (and their teacher) loved it! Their teacher said is there another grandmother who would do that?

Here is the lovely toad that made me scream. I bent down to get a picture of it and it jumped! Haha! I started jumping with it. I do not like creepy crawly things.

And one of the snails Miles found. He was so happy. He insisted I sent this picture to his teacher. Luckily she loves stuff like this!

And then I sent her this beauty.

And Thursday I sent my boys to school with snails and a slug!

While we were at my mom's house this is what was in her front yard. She has a pond in her back yard so she sees all sorts of animals like deer, foxes, cranes, otters, ducks and rabbits!

My boys love critters and learning new things about them. It's been fun finding them in our yard!

Climbing Trees
A friend of Miles and Cater wants to climb a tree. Like us, they do not have any good trees in their yard to climb. I sent his mom these pictures of the trees in my mom's front yard. They are going to come over next week so we can climb together! How fun is that going to be? Seeing my boys climb the same trees I did when I was little is a favorite!!

I made White Chicken Lasagna last night and it was wonderful. It would have been even easier if I used a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store instead of cooking a whole one in the crock pot. I might try switching it up with sausage and spaghetti sauce instead of alfredo sauce. This is a new favorite!

Amen.
I'm ready for summer!!

What's Up Wednesday

I made stuffed peppers this past weekend and they were delicious! I used the orange peppers this time and they did not disappoint.

I saw a similar quiche in a magazine and wanted to try it. It has a hash brown crust with bacon and cheese.  It was good! Like I'll keep the recipe and make it again good.

Tonight I'll be making white chicken lasagna. I hope it is as good as it looks!

Last summer.

Who doesn't take a dip in the pool with their underwear on? That counts as a bath in my books.

More pool time.

My neighbors are great. They let us swim. And they've done a TON of work in their back yard this past year. It's doing to be a fun place to swim this summer.

Then in June Jackson broke his arm. Boo for no pool!

Then the cast came off and back to the pool.

And more pool time. I was water logged by the end of summer! But it was fun.

Planning our summer! The boys have been saying different things they want to do so we are making a list! Hopefully we will be able to do all of them!

We have a little garden because Jackson wanted one. Well so far it's been fun watching stuff grow. I just hope we can eat something from it this year.

This isn't from my garden but I didn't know asparagus looked like this growing. It's strange! I hope it works.

This is part of our little garden. I need to pull some weeds but this is our garlic. I had to google it to see when in the world it would be ready to pull. I do not have a green thumb! Haha!

And Michael is still working on the golf cart. He has ordered a couple more parts and it should be ready. This is how tall it will be. The seat will be at Carter's shoulders! Haha!

The HEAT this summer.

Fun stuff to so this summer with the boys! We need to stay busy! We want to go to the beach, the mountains, the park, the splash pad, make s'mores and home made ice cream, have a 4th of July cookout, go on golf cart rides, go to VBS and so much more!

Swimming...

And lounging at the pools. We go to Lakeview Club as well and the boys love going to the big pool as well as our neighbors.

Going to the park to play on the cool new playground!

And going to the Splash Pad. It is a cool place for the boys to play.

I'm not watching much these days. I do watch YouTube videos of Dancing with the Stars. Micheal has been watching a series on Nexflix that I do not care to watch so I usually read.

I'm starting this book. It's kinda hard to get into but I'm trying!

I just read this one and NO! I didn't like it. I didn't like the ending. AT ALL!

I just finished that boy by Jillian Dodd. It was such a good book.

It was so good I want to read the next one in the series by her.

And this one is on my Goodreads list. I love the recommendations on Goodreads. It's fun to browse! I've read several Colleen Hoover books so I hope this one is good like her others.

Not a thing. I listen to the radio while I'm in the car and that's about it.

The BASIC stay at home mom clothes.

Yoga pants & tank tops, shorts & tank tops, dress & heels to church, leggings & tunics.

We are in the middle of UPWARDS soccer.  That's my baby with a strange running face.

School is almost out! YEAH!! I'm really excited for some lazy days and fun summer activities with my boys!

Jackson said I should do a menu like his school sends home. So he wants me to serve 2 entrees and a couple of sides each night. Sadly, I do this most every night. (All 3 boys have different food allergies and are picky eaters on top of that!)  I am thinking about making a menu for at least 2 weeks at a time to cut back on my grocery shopping. Here's a cute calendar I found to keep my menu on. Last year I did write down what I cooked for a month. It was interesting and it was super handy when I didn't know what to cook.
