Miles and Carter's 8th Birthday!

We took the boys lunch at school and they wanted Lane to sit with us. I'm not sure how much they ate because all three talked the entire time!

M's teacher was in California for the Clemson/Alabama game. She was super sweet to leave him this note. This MADE his day!

Lane stayed with us after school and played.

These two could not wait to open gifts! After gifts we went out to dinner at a Sophia's (a local place) and it was delicious.

And we had another birthday cake! (We had one Friday before as well)

Michael and I hung the birthday balloons. They were excited to see them.

Here's my 8 year olds!

This is the first picture we have of them together. This was after Carter came back to our local hospital from the NICU 30 minutes away. (He was there for 4 or 5 days.) Our sweet nurses took this for us.

And here they are at 4 weeks old. Miles wore an apnea monitor for 6 months.

My handsome boys.

TBB Asks

Books I have read multiple times: Every now and then I'll re-read a book just for the fun of it. I've read The Hating Game by Sally Thorne again because it was just so cute. I've re-read several of Kristen Proby's series - With Me in Seattle Series and The Boudreaux Series.

Favorite Book/Author of all time: Oh....this can be tough. My all time fav would have to be Colleen Hoover. Her books are awesome! I also like Kristen Proby, Susan Mallery, Sydney Landon, Debbie Macomber and Kristan Higgins.

Favorite TV show to binge: I really do not watch much tv. If I had to sit and watch one show it would probably be LivePD. I'm amazed at all of the crazy people. I also love watching Dr. Pimple Popper and The Bachelor.

Favorite New-ish TV show: EEKK!! I don't know. Dr. Pimple Popper is new-ish, correct?

Favorite movie of all time: I don't watch movies because I ALWAYS fall asleep! Haha!! We did watch The Secret Life of Pets and I thought it was really cute. The Cutting Edge was an all time favorite way back in the early 90s.

Movie I'm looking forward to watching: We just got Wonder (I read the book to my boys) and we are all looking forward to watching it. I also want to see Crazy Rich Asians.

First concert I attended: JIMMY BUFFET! Haha!! I was still in high school and it was a BLAST! Garth Brooks was my second concert and he is probably my all time favorite.

Ultimate concert (even if it can't happen): One where you could sit and enjoy the music without it being too loud and too crowded! I'm not a fan of loud music and crowds!

Favorite music artist/band: I like a variety of music. I like country: Kane Brown, Sam Hunt, Luke Combs. Christian: Big Daddy Weave, Casting Crowns. I also listen to Kids Bop songs with the boys (hello language in some songs!). They (WE) love Uptown Funk, Thunder, Party in the USA. Most importantly they like Bon Jovi. They can belt out Livin on a Prayer with the best of us.

How do you listen: I'm addicted to Amazon Music. I use my phone and my Bose bluetooth speaker. If I'm working on my computer I'll have YouTube going as well.

Thanks ladies for the fun link up!

Happy Happy Birthday!

2918 in Review

Miles and Carter turned 7!

It SNOWED!

And we all played.

This could sum up February! Diet Coke, VICKS and Young Living essential oils were our best friends.  All 5 of us had the FLU. It was a good two weeks of us being sick.

Sickness = quilts galore.

Different day. Different child. Different quilts.

These boys went to the book fair at different times and came home with the SAME book! How funny!!

We took selfies during homework to avoid tears!

Jackson was inducted into the Jr. Beta Club.

EASTER!

We started Spring Break at Cracker Barrel!

And ended it at the ZOO!

Soccer started and Jackson could not have been any happier!

We had lots of friends over to play!

Miles and Carter made all A's and received a trophy at the All A Banquet.

I went on a field trip to see a play with Miles's class.

We celebrated Mother's Day.

Jackson went on his first over night (2 nights) field trip and had a blast! And I survived as well.

We were super happy on the last day of school!!

And then it was pool time for the rest of the summer.

All of us enjoyed our week at the beach.

We celebrated Father's Day.

4th of July selfie

This kept me going most days!

Khloe and I watched the boys swim. She's my BFF and my neighbor's puppy.

We had a nice relaxing mountain vacation. It was amazing!

Proof Michael and I were there!!

Then it was back home to reality! BOO!!

Back to school shopping was fun! Haha!!

We had a back to school nerf gun war. This is an awesome group of kids!

BACK TO SCHOOL!
Miles and Carter 2nd grade (with different teachers)
Jackson 5th grade (his last year of elementary school)

Jackson and his new chore!!

Fall soccer was SO.MUCH.FUN! Seriously. It was amazing.

Miles and Ms. Mary (our neighbor) planned a Labor Day party. We had a blast! We swam, ate hot dogs and s'mores.

We waited on not one but TWO hurricanes.

They both took FOREVER to get here.

I caught the boys in Ms. Mary's yard. They love to jump the fence and hang out with her.

More soccer. Jackson had just scored a goal!

I got in on a couple of Sunday porch pictures!

I had lunch with these goof balls! Lane lives down the road and rides home with us. He is basically one of mine now.

Our town has Treats on the Streets and it was fun! Crowded but fun! A funny about this picture. Riley and Jackson (the two on the right) are best buddies and both have twin siblings.

Trick or treating is always fun on our street.

Miles and Carter were in my cousin's wedding. They were the sweetest!!

Right after the wedding we headed to the mountains. Like 30 minutes after the I Do's we went.

Ahhh...It was perfect!

We took pictures for Christmas Cards and they were all so good!

Jackson turned 11!!

We saw SANTA!

The kids Christmas play at church was so cute! They did a great job!

The kids sang with the adult choir and it was super sweet.

Our Christmas Card!

Santa came!

We had an awesome year. I can't wait to see what 2019 has in store for us!

Finally... It's my top 9 Instagram pictures of 2018.
