CHRISTMAS DAY

We had a very busy Christmas! It started the day before Christmas Eve with dinner at my Aunt's house (something my mom's family has done for years). We had a blast at dinner and Jackson had lots of fun playing with Austyn.Christmas Eve we opened presents at my parent's house that afternoon and my mom's family came over that night. We all had fun talking, playing and of course eating!
Christmas Day started out with the three of us playing with all of the toys Santa left for Jackson. I think mommy and daddy had just as much fun as Jackson! Then we headed to Michael's parents for our Christmas celebration with them. Jackson played so hard that morning he napped just about the entire time we opened presents! The little fellow woke up just in time to eat a wonderful dinner! He ate and ate and ate. His favorite was an orange salad. Christmas Day night we were back at my parents for supper. So, as you can all tell, Christmas was all about spending time with family and eating! What a wonderful time!!

Jackson trying to open a gift. I really can't remember if this was his gift or mine!

Trying to get another gift.
This is Michael's version of superbaby!

Check out his new spiderman rain boots! He wasn't too sure of them but I know when they actually fit he will love them! The other "set" of boots were on Boom but they were Pops (he likes to be prepared for bad weather).

CHRISTMAS MORNING

Jackson has played really hard with all of the presents Santa left at our house! His favorite is the wooden train with all of the blocks! Be careful if you come into our house - you may step on a block and they do hurt! I've learned my lesson in just a day!

CHRISTMAS EVE

Austyn and Jackson wearing their matching pj's!
Poor Ashleigh was pooped from pushing Jackson around on his toy. There was a grin stuck on his face the entire time! Thanks Ashleigh!!

Still playing in front of the tree - trying to sneak a present!

Jackson got one!
Austyn had fun playing too!

Is this my present?

Who cares if Jackson opens their present before everyone gets to Grandma's? No one. Luckily he only got the bow off of this one. We really had to keep an eye on our sneaky littly man. I guess all of the temptation finally got him. He did not bother the tree or any gifts until the day before Christmas but then he could not keep his hands off of them!

Christmas 2008

Things really changed in a year! Jackson did not want to get any where close to Santa this year. He would cry and grit his teeth when we got out of his comfort zone. Last year he slept the entire time he was in Santa's lap. It took him several minutes to finally walk over to get a cookie out of the Santa's basket. This is as good as it gets for this year! Maybe next year Jackson will actually sit in Santa's lap! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Christmas Parade

We had fun Saturday morning at the Christmas Parade.

Jackson didn't want to keep his hat on but thank goodness we always distracted him. Notice his is holding the "ducky" that belongs in his diaper bag. He held it the entire time!

All worn out! And yes, he was still holding the "ducky" and has part of a fruit loop on his chin!

100% BOY!

Jackson is getting into everything these days. We moved the furniture around in our den to make room for our Christmas tree. This left our hearth wide open for a little boy to learn a new trick. Our little dare devil has found that he can climb on the hearth and jump off. I have not caught that with the camera - yet! He even too a tumble off one side and just about landed in our tree! Luckily we invested in a soft cover for our hearth and hopefully we can tame our wild fellow!

Thanksgiving 2008

Here is cousin Austyn posing in her rocking chair!
She is becoming quite the camera hog!

Jackson loved playing with (eating) his toys!

Look at that cheesy grin! Jackson got to open some birthday presents
Thanksgiving day because we were all sick the day of his party!
Stopping for a picture!

Here's a picture from last Thanksgiving- Jackson was 4 days old!

Happy Birthday Jackson!

It's hard to believe that Jackson was 1 this past Wednesday!

Here are a couple of pictures from Jackson's birthday party. He had fun opening his gifts and even shared them with Austyn! I would post pictures of Jackson eating his cake but he did not like it. As soon as the icing was on his hands he started crying.

We had another party planned for last weekend but Jackson had an ear infection with a high fever so we had to cancel it. Poor little fellow is finally getting back to his normal self. Jackson missed playing with his friends!

Pumpkin Patch

We were really late getting to the pumpkin patch but we finally made it! Jackson loved looking at all of the pumpkins.

Happy Halloween

We went to church Wednesday night for our Fall Festival. Jackson loved every minute of wearing his costume which surprised us. He even played his first game of pick up the ducks in the pond. He picked up several ducks and even splashed in the water. All of us had a blast!

11 Months Old

I should know by now that it is very difficult to get really good pictures of Jackson before we leave for church on Sunday mornings. These are a couple I was able to get this past Sunday - the day he was 11 months old! He looks like a big boy in his new outfit and shoes!

At least he didn't run away from me this week!

Jackson was attached to this yellow shovel Sunday. I thought he would throw it down in the car but no - he had to take it into church with him. When Michael and I went to get him after the services he was just about asleep still holding his shovel!

He loved all of the attention at my mom's house Sunday afternoon. He was being a big cheese ball the entire time we were there!

Does my child try to eat EVERYTHING in sight? Hopefully he will outgrow this one day - SOON!

Take OFF!

Ms. Joy told us that Jackson took a couple of steps yesterday. Of course he would not do it for us. When we got home tonight, we decided to see what he would do. He is taking two and three steps and then sitting down. Michael and I will surely be chasing the little fellow around very soon! Doesn't he look like a little mummy walking with his arms out in front of him? I'll post a video soon of him taking his first few steps!

Look at those eyes

He has his daddy's big blue eyes!
