Everyday Life Week 51

December 25 - December 31

Apparently I messed up on my "weeks" so I'm posting the last Everyday Life post for 2016.

Christmas morning. Miles and Jackson were up and we finally woke Carter up to see what all Santa brought.

Here they are! So ready to open their gifts and I made them wait for a picture.

I got a game from Santa!

And Michael got a remote control helicopter.

On to Boom and Pop's to open presents and eat lunch!

They were super excited about their go cart.

Jackson was cautious when he first started driving it.

Carter jumped right in and drove like a champ! Haha! We thought he would be a crazy driver but he shocked us.

And Miles was a very good driver as well. All three were smiling ear to ear while driving around.

And then it was back to Scrappy's house to celebrate with Turner!

By the next day we were all like this. Worn out!

Then the Lego's were opened. Oh my word. The amount of Lego's we have is unreal.

Carter bumped his head and he wore the ice pack like a hat. It was the funniest thing.

We were not planning on taking all of the Christmas decorations down but we did! The weather was perfect for playing outside so I got busy inside. And now the house looks weird!

I took my mom to the eye doctor and it is safe to say the boys had fun at Boom and Pop's house.

Miles was excited I let him eat pizza for breakfast!

I did it! I met my goal I set on Good Reads this year. I can't believe I did it.

The wind was freezing but these boys had to play outside for a while. I was bundled up drinking hot tea!

It's New Year's Eve and it's my BIRTHDAY! And yes, I'm 40! 😎

Carter eats at random times...and while he is putting together a Lego.

Miles was working on his "surprised" face.

Happy Birthday to ME! My dining room is finally getting painted after 1 1/2 years of asking. Hahah!

Carter helped me bake cup cakes for my big day!

While Michael primed away!

Everyday Life Week 50

December 18 - December 23

It's Christmas Break!!

Saturday morning puzzles are always fun!

And of course a couple of selfies!

Sunday porch picture.

Michael and I took the boys shopping for each others gifts. It was a blast! We were all tired when we finally got home.

I didn't get any pictures other than these at the bookstore. The boys had fun and bought each other some neat toys.

For real.
Sunday it was nice - short sleeve weather and then Monday it was in the 30s.

The reindeer bait was fun to make.

This is how I feel too Miles!! I was excited for the boys to run around and play outside. It was cold but they HAD to get out of the house.

This boy LOVES card games. We played several rounds of Go Fish.

Time to make more cookies!

And the boys are great helpers.

So true.

Thank goodness for some warmer weather. The boys had a blast riding bikes.

This is how Jackson acted at my aunts house. They liked sliding on the floor to see who could slide the longest.

Such goofballs!

Carter woke up first on Christmas Eve and stayed in our room for a while.

Little Rodney brought a table cloth to color on. It had word searches, tic tac toe, and several other fun things.

Christmas Eve at my moms. They were the only kids there.

And at our house. Note the clock - it is way past their bed time!!

We had to put out the reindeer food and...

Santa's milk and cookies.
Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Baking

Our elf, Little Rodney, left the boys a Ninja Bread kit this past weekend. The boys thought it was epic (their word...not mine). Haha! They were excited when it was time to bake them but even happier when it was time to decorate! They are already asking to bake more cookies so they can decorate them. We are doing sugar cookies next.

Each boy cut their cookies once I rolled the dough.

This was the first time they used the cookie cutters.

And each did a great job!

The icing was tricky. The kit didn't make much and I was worried we would run out.

But we had plenty! Miles decided to take a bite out of his before he iced it!

And Carter ate an entire cookie before the icing got to him.

The kit had one little bag of sprinkles so I pulled out the m&m's and more sprinkles.

They ate more sprinkles than they put on the cookies. I really thought they all would have tummy aches because they ate a lot of cookies.

Next we made reindeer bait. It's really called bunny bait but we change it with the holidays. We've had bunny bait and for Dr. Seuss's birthday we had barbaloot bait.

We all love this mix. It's Chex cereal, pretzels, golden oreos, popcorn, m&ms, melted chocolate and sprinkles. I added marshmallows this time and they are tasty too!

We mix everything together and drizzle the melted chocolate over it. Then we add the m&ms and sprinkles.

I asked Michael to get some pictures of the boys since my hands were in the mix. I never know what I may get when he get my phone.

See!?!

And this..you never know when he is taking a picture.

The boys were eating it before the chocolate even set. The good thing about this is you can add  anything you like to it and it will be tasty.

Now on to the rest of my Christmas baking...
