What's Up Wednesday

The past few weeks I've been planning my meals for each the week. It has gone really well so far. And cooking meals has gotten easier since the boys are not AS picky any more. They are still picky as can be but we are working on it. I usually try one new something a week.

Last week it was chicken and dumplings. They were alright but the juice was wonderful. I'm going to make a chicken pot pie with the exact seasonings. I found it on Pinterest and the blog was Seeded at the Table.

I'm thinking about doing this pot pie one night soon. I know I will not put the garden peas in because I think they are nasty! And I might make the juicy part of the dumpling recipe instead of the cream of chicken soup.

And something made me think about the white chicken lasagna roll ups. Now I have a hankering for them. They were tasty and easy to make. Now if my boys would start eating all of this I would be doing great. But, we are slowing moving away for chicken fries and corn dogs.

**all 3 pictures were from Pinterest**

Everything we did this summer. Look back thru the Everyday Life posts for the past few days and you will see what all we did.

My favorite was the mountains. Life is just slower up there. The weather was perfect while we were there. The boys didn't complain at all about being in the car and we were in the car a lot!

HELLO SCHOOL DAYS!!

We had a great summer. The boys and I were constantly on the go. We enjoyed the few lazy days we were able to squeeze in.  We went to camps, swam, went to VBS, went on vacations, the zoo, had swimming lessons, and swam even more. (This is the first summer they didn't attend their school's summer camp. Years past they have gone at least once a week.)  This mom is worn out! I'm exhausted from summer but I loved every minute. So...I'm glad school is back. I'm ready for a normal routine and my few hours alone each morning.

Trying to rest from the hectic summer. And of course back to school shopping. And doing our summer reading. Now that school has started we're getting into the homework routine.

HOMEWORK!

Amen.

Miles and Carter's class starts at 8:00 instead of 9:00 this year. It's going to be an adjustment getting them up, dressed, fed and out the door by 7:45 each morning.

Catching up with my blog. I didn't make the time to update much during the summer. To make it worse my computer was having issues and then our router had issues. The cherry on the top was the cable from the box outside to our house was messed up. Now, Michael and Time Warner has everything back up and running. Thank goodness he is in IT! But the down side is I have to wait for him to fix stuff. Haha!!

The boys start AWANA soon and they are excited!

And we are planning a trip to the...

We will celebrate birthdays at the water park again this year! I'm not sure who had more fun last year -Me and Michael or the boys!

YOGA PANTS!!! Come on cooler weather...

I'm so guilty of saying and doing this!

And...

SO TRUE!! I've been know to put my PJ bottoms back on (and my bedroom shoes) if we are going to be home. Might as well be super comfy and warm!

Watching....
Seriously...the Olympic games were amazing! I didn't know about a lot of the sports. The boys thought it was pretty cool to watch too. I think they liked the diving and the swimming the best.

I'm a sucker for YouTube videos and so are my boys!

I've found the free books section on my Nook. I've read several books by people I've never heard of before. Most of them have been fairly good. I have read a lot from the library as well. It's funny how when I go in with a list I can't find a single book I want to read. When I run in for a second with all the boys I find 5. And I have 3 books on my night stand that I need to read. I just keep putting them to the side.

I finally bought wireless speakers for my phone. The boys and I have really enjoyed listening to the radio while we were playing.

I'm addicted to ...

clothes. The dresses are so soft and comfy! The shorts fit great and look great after washing.
But I still love my soccer shorts and tank tops around the house.

We will have a nice lazy Labor Day weekend. I'm sure Miles and Carter will be exhausted from their first week back at school.

Nothing says fall like FOOTBALL!

I love watching football. Michael really isn't a big fan. Jackson will watch some and the other two are coming around.

We are trying to survive the heat and humidity. We will welcome fall with open arms this year!

Back to School 2016

The boys are back in school!

Jackson started 3rd grade two weeks ago. He is still at the same school and on the same hall. He has several friends in his class who like to talk so I hope they do not get into too much trouble together.

So far he is loving school and his teacher!

Miles and Cater started 5k yesterday. They were super excited about going back to school. It's a little sad because it's their last year at this preschool. But it's also exciting because all the boys will be at the same school next year!

Carter

Miles

These two are complete goofballs! I know they are going to provide lots of entertainment in their class.

They were the most excited about their book bags. They could not wait to wear them.

The book bags were hung by the door with care with hopes I could get M and C out the door and to school by 8! (Michael takes Jackson about 7:15.)

They ran to the sidewalk. It wasn't busy at drop off because 5k is the only class that starts at 8. The others start at 9.

Carter found his name.

And Miles found his!

Their classroom is so neat. Their teacher taught Jackson in 5k so we know her well.

The boys were able to go to early bird for a little while. If they get to school before 8 they can go to the 3k room to play. Ms. Martrano (their 3k teacher) will send the boys to class. And yes- their class has 7 boys and 1 girl!
I hope and pray my boys (and their teachers) will have a great school year!

Everyday Life Week 34

August 20 - August 26
Each one had a different swifter to dust the house. It might not have been the way I dusted but you have to start some where.

Sunday porch picture

We had to do some fun stuff while Jackson was in school so we went to the library one morning.

And they read an I Spy book.

Then we went to the park because the weather was perfect!

They got on my bed with every pillow and blanket they could find and watched cartoons while I cleaned.

They helped me get their school supplies to the classroom. They had fun checking out all of the neat toys.

After a day of snuggling on my bed they decided to bring some legos in my room. They played for the longest time with their lego city.

I can honestly say they do not like running errands with me. Especially grocery shopping. I found it was easier to let them play in the toy section for a while before we shop for food.

And just like that I'm caught up with my weekly posts! Miles and Carter start 5k today so I'll have those pictures up tomorrow.
