Friday Favorites with June's Reads

My June books were some of the best ones I've read so far this year. I'm super excited because I read 5 good books and attempted to read one more that wasn't so good. 

Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie

This was a cute book. It was comical at times and had me shaking my head thinking 'really?' Cal will win you over in no time! It was a sweet read. I'll be reading more of Jennifer Crusie!

the light we lost by Jill Santopolo

Where do I start? This book isn't one that I would have just picked up from the library or bookstore. Leslie Ann over at Lala Life recommended this one. It was good! The story started on September 11 as Lucy and Gabe watched the aftermath World Trade Centers falling.

The Mister by EL James

I was a sucker and thought The Mister would be another fun EL James book. This book was just okay to me. I read it just to see what happened. It seems a little far fetched that a guy would fall for his cleaning lady. I guess stranger things have happened.

The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand

This was the PERFECT book to start reading while at the beach. It kept me thinking about what happened the entire book. I couldn't wait to see how things unfolded. This is probably one of my favorite Elin Hilderbrand's books!

Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren

EEEKKKK!!!! Love and Other Words will probably be one of my favorite books ever! It was fantastic. I loved everything about it. Macy and Elliot's story was interesting and kept my attention the entire book.

Dead Girl Running by Christina Dodd

Okay. I went from the best book ever to one I didn't want to think about. I was lost within the first 3 chapters and didn't want to go back to reread it to get the characters straight in my mind.

What's up Wednesday

WHERE HAS JUNE GONE?

 Oh my goodness. I think I blinked and this month is gone! We have hit the ground running this summer. It's going to be nice to stay home and rest a while. And by rest I mean catch up on house work! 

I've needed easy stuff this week. These Ranch Cheddar Chicken tenders were pretty good. The recipe is from Everyday Dishes. 

Jackson asked for beef tips and rice. I'm trying to teach my boys to actually say something they want when I ask what they want for supper. Not the normal 'I don't care' or 'it doesn't matter to me'. So I headed to Pinterest like I always do and got this from South Your Mouth.

My baby is headed to middle school in the fall. It's hard to think about moving to middle school when we've been at the same school for 5 years. 

How nice it would be to sit out by the ocean and read some more. And watch the boys play. 

I'm LOVING summer reading. The boys learned quickly that we will read each day this summer. Not to mention they have to take the Accelerated Reader test and get their points before school starts. 

While running an errand last week (with an extra kiddo) we stopped by Burry Bookstore. It's a part of the Wall of Books chain so it has used books for sale as well as new ones. I happened to grab a book which happens my favorite so far this year. It was good!! 

We have had a busy June. The last week of school was the first week of June. Then we had a fun week at the beach. The third week was a week of appointments (for me and my mom), Miles and Carter had tutoring and we helped get ready for VBS. This week is full of VBS for me and the boys. I'm in the 5k group and we had 21 kids Monday and 28 Tuesday. I'm not sure why I'm pooped! We've had well over 100 kids each day with ages 4k thru 5th grade! YEAH!! 

I'm scared to say this but I don't want summer to end! The boys and I have had lots of fun while Michael has been at work. Check back in next month when we finally have some down time and hit the pool and water park!

I'm working on catching up my blog and keeping it current. I'm also working on reading more and getting the boys to read more. 

This was an easy question!! I'm ready for these views and  even the grocery store! I can honesty say our grocery stores are lacking in my area. Can some one please open a nice, clean one??

Ohhh.....check back Friday for my June reads. I had some good ones, y'all!

The only thing I get to listen to is my boys playing/arguing/fighting or whatever they are watching on tv. 

Same old stuff. I'm still loving my maxi dresses and long rompers. They are so comfy!!

Hopefully I'll be resting and recouping from this CRAZY week!!

Hello Monday..Game Trailer

Last week we had an End of School party for the boys. I didn't do birthday parties for them so we decided just to do a summer party. The boys LOVE the game trailer so I decided to surprise them with it. This was hands down the easiest party ever. All of the kids went in the trailer and played video games for 2 hours. When the time was up they ate and ran around the family life center at our church.

The couple that owns this game trailer was so nice. They stayed with the kids and played games with them. This company goes to a lot of the parties at the our school. 

This is most of the kids. This group is the sweetest groups of boys...and 1 girl.

This is their smaller trailer and it holds 20 kids. They have a larger on that holds 36 people. 

We enjoyed this so much we may do it again before school starts back. Thanks FX Game Trailer for the awesome party!
