Hospital Stay

We can thank a nasty ear infection for C's 4 day 3 night stay at the hospital. After 6 doses of strong IV antibiotics he went to the OR for tubes (which took about 14 minutes). He was feisty when I got back to him after the procedure. He was mad at the world and of course the nurses. And for the future - please do not wear all white around C. He WILL scream and yell 'all done' (which was his favorite phrase to say in the hospital).

It didn't take him long to find every button on the bed and press each one. 

He was happy when the IV was unhooked and he could walk around.

Just walking the empty halls.

He loved drinking sprite out of a big boy cup.

Finally eating something...a banana.

First thing he wanted when we got home - food!  

Everyday Life Week 11

March 13-19

Wednesday
Jackson all tucked into bed. 

Thursday
C waiting for his first antibiotic shot. 

Friday
J had to be seen by the doctor as well. Waiting for C's second shot.

Saturday
The third and final shot. We have lived at the doctor's office!

Sunday
No church for the sick little boy. We baked cupcakes and the boys loved them!

Monday
C back to doctor and he was admitted to the hospital! 

Tuesday
J's first soccer practice with Boom. J had a blast! C is still in the hospital. 

Everyday Life Week 10

March 6 - 12

Wednesday
The boys played great today. Michael and I both had a touch of  a bug so we  were feeling yucky.  I'm not sure why M has a sock on his hand. 

Thursday
This is how we do snack time in the afternoons. C likes to sit on the table instead of his high chair. 

Friday
The boys had fun with bubbles at my parents house. 

Saturday
M still says apple and points to my phone every time I take a picture of him. 

Sunday
We skipped church again since C hasn't been feeling well.  We took the boys by the park on the way to get dinner. They had a blast and didn't want to leave.

Monday
M and C's 2 week recheck. C is now on his 4th medicine for his ear infection.  We are praying this medicine does the trick. If not he might have to get tubes. 

Tuesday
 This is what I find when I check on the boys. They like to climb on the back of the couch when I walk out of the room. 

Everyday Life Week 9

February 27-March 5

Wednesday
C is confused about what goes in the basketball goal. 

Thursday
My K cups came in the mail! This should last me a little while. 

Friday
C still isn't feeling great. He likes to play with the robots or bots as he calls them. 

Saturday
Fussy C back at doctor. This makes the third type of medicine since his ears are still red. 

Sunday
Think they wanted their milk? It was close to bedtime.
We didn't go to church at all today because of all the sickness going around. We want our boys well!!

Monday
J wanted to sit at the big table for supper at my mom's house. He thought he was something!

Tuesday
This week is Dr. Seuss week at school.  Today was Cat in the Hat  day. J was too cute in his hat and bow tie (which belonged to his great grandfather)!

Everyday Life Week 8

February 20-26

I'm a little behind with these posts but I've had a house full of sickness! 

Wednesday
What did we do on day two of 2 of the boys feeling bad? Cover the table with  craft paper and let the boys color.  Jackson was racing the cars on the track we drew.

Thursday
One of the few foods this sick boy will eat....kisses. I hope he ate some of it. 

Friday
All three boys are in love with this basketball goal. It has been everywhere in the house so they can play.  Notice every ball we own is under the table. 

Saturday
Michael saw one of the boys push something under the stove so he decided to take the drawer out to get it. Ummm...we had lots of junk and dust under there. It was nasty.

Sunday
M's first trip to the ER. We thought he swallowed part of a toy but the x-rays were clear. 

Monday
C is still sick and loves Jackson's camera. He was taking pictures of the floor.

Tuesday
J had soccer try outs. Afterwards he and I went to The Sweet Spot for supper.
