WUW Feb

-WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK-
Chicken and veggie stir fry
Sausage dogs
And I better start thinking about the rest of the week!

-WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT-
All of the pool time last summer. With a few warm days we are ready for lazy summer days.

-WHAT I'M LOVING-
Reading new blogs and finding new link ups. It's so fun to see how others do life and I get some great ideas.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO-
I'm playing catch up with housework and just life in general since we were all sick. (For 4 weeks we had someone sick.)

-WHAT I'M DREADING-
Am I the only one who constantly vacuums? Why is the one chore I can't stand the one that I do the most? I've started making the boys vacuum. This makes me happy!

-WHAT I'M WORKING ON-
Catching up the blog and reading. I have loved all of the book reviews and recommendations.

-WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT-
SUMMER!
 Lazy pool days and vacations.

This was Garden City Beach in June. It was chilly on the beach and I loved it!

And the mountains. Who would get tired of this view? These were taken from our porch.

-WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING-

WATCHING
I've kinda watched the Bachelor but I do read Shaeffer's recaps. They are the best. The Voice is back and I love watching it. The coaches are awesome.

READING
I read a lot last month since we were sick. So far this month it's been slower.
The last few books I've read:

-WHAT I'M LISTENING TO-
A little bit of everything. The boys love Kids Bop and I love praise and worship music.

-WHAT I'M WEARING-
Basic mom uniform
Yoga pants and tees
leggings and tunics

-WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND-
We have no plans except church Sunday.

-WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH-
Michael and I will celebrate 12 years of marriage. We will probably not do much which is fine with me. :)

-WHAT ELSE IS NEW-
Not much.

-FAVORITE SPRING BREAK DESTINATION-
When I was in high school we always went to the beach for spring break

Now that I have kids we just relax at home and do a couple of fun things with them. No big vacations for us.

Monday Memes

Rainy Mondays calls for some laughs. I love a good meme. I'm always sending Michael funnies throughout the day. Most of the time they are the truth which make them funnier to me!

So true. Or I'll go to get something from another room and totally forget what I went to get.

Oh my. My boys love watching other people play Minecraft on YouTube.

This is ME! :)

This just made me chuckle.

This would have been my dad!

AMEN!!!

I would try out for this event!

True!!

This is my love language!

What We're Reading...

I'M BACK! The past 4 weeks have been rough - all 5 of us were sick. Strep throat, the flu, upper respiratory infections and bronchitis.

We finally made it back to church this past week. It was wonderful! And Michael was in the car waiting on us.

With all of the sickness I read and read and read. Hello long book review!

Here we go...

I'm a Debbie Macomber fan. I've read lots of books by her but I can say this book was a wee bit better than the rest.

I posted this on my What's Up Wednesday post last month. I wanted to start reading some different types of books and I hit the nail on the head with this one. I didn't care for the main character but the book was good.

I'm a sucker for finding books on the new release shelf at the library. This is a part of a series and I didn't know until after I read it. I really enjoyed this book. It was good in a different way.

I spotted this in the kids Valentine display at the library. It was super cute and my boys loved it.

This has been on my list for a while. It was fun to see how Jenna and Barbara grew up and their perspective about being in the public eye. I love watching Jenna with Kathy Lee in the mornings!

I'm a sucker for a good trashy romance novel. With everyone sick I dusted off my Nook because I didn't want to turn on the lights in the evenings while everyone was sleeping. And I usually buy books on my Nook when I know I want to keep them. On to this book -- I love Kristen Proby. She has the BEST books. This one was super fun to read.

And then there is Syndey Landon. Several years ago I found her first series on my Nook while I was on vacation and I've been hooked ever since. Her first series was based in Myrtle Beach/Garden City Beach (in South Carolina) and it was super fun reading about an area I know so well.  Fun fact - I read her first book in the series while I was on vacation in Garden City right where the main characters live. :)

The Last Mrs. Parrish...on my. I really don't know what to say. The book was good but I'm not sure how I feel about what went on. I don't want to give any spoilers but it was a little unsettling afterwards.

This is another book I've wanted to read. It was interesting to have a glimpse into Elizabeth's life and how she has moved on since her abduction. Her faith is beyond any I've ever seen. It's truly amazing.

That's my list for this month. I just finished Elizabeth's story last night and I need to find another book to read. I can't wait to get some ideas from the link up!
