It's been a while since I posted so I thought I would start with What's Up Wednesday. During April I had something every.singe.day. It was HECTIC to say the least and I didn't have time to blog. It's going to take a while to catch up but I'M BACK!
What we are eating this week...
If you asked this question last week the answer would have been NOTHING! The boys and I were at VBS each night so we ate at church. But since it's this week I must feed these boys. Last night was tacos for the boys and then half way thru eating Jackson got sick with a tummy bug. My father in law brought us some fresh tomatoes so I whipped up a tomato pie. For my first one it was fairly tasty. It was on the runny side so I must figure out how to make it more quiche like.
Here's the recipe I kinda followed.
We will have leftovers and I need to find something to cook with chicken and veggies. We want to start eating more fish so I have mahi mahi to cook and some shrimp. A local fish market just opened so I hope to get some yummy fresh mahi mahi to grill soon and maybe try something new.
What I'm reminiscing about...
Since I haven't blogged anything for a LONG time it's been so much fun looking back thru my posts and seeing how much the boys have grown. So much has happened in 12 weeks.
What I'm loving...
We are enjoying summer!
What we've been up to...
I have way too much to add right here!
Here's a little peek and it all includes water.
Swimming at our neighbor's house! They are the best neighbors ever.
We went to the beach and our rental house had a cool pool. Too bad the house wasn't as nice. :(
I wish the weather would have been better so we could enjoy it more. It rained for 4 days.
The boys loved playing in the ocean.
What I'm dreading...
Catching up this blog...
one cup of coffee at a time.
What I'm working on...
Adjusting goggles at the pool. The struggle is real around here.
This blog. And cleaning the house. And washing clothes. And keeping up with 3 boys. Let's not forget checking my little garden each day.
What I'm excited about...
Heading to the mountains soon for a vacation and some cooler weather. I guess I've gotten old since I rather head to the mountains than the beach.
This is the view from our porch in the house we are renting. It is gorgeous! I can't wait to sit on the porch with my coffee or tea and read.
What I'm watching/reading...
I'm not watching anything right now. I would like to watch the Bachelorette but I just haven't. I always read Shaeffer's recaps and they are the best! I've read several books and I'll post on them tomorrow.
What I'm listening to...
Not much. Whatever is on the radio or whatever the boys are singing.
What' I'm wearing...
I went to the mall to find some shorts but ended up with dresses. I guess it's the summer of the dress for me. Belk has some cute Crown and Ivy dresses and Old Navy has some cute summer dresses that are great for running errands in this heat.
Crown and Ivy from Belk. It's super comfy and cool.
This is Old Navy and it's just as comfy and cool. I have the black dress as well as hot pink and a black and white stripe one.
And this is the most comfy. I have this in the jean material and a black and white design. They are my favorites.
All these cute dresses and my black yoga pants are on as I type this. They are always my favorites.
What I'm doing this weekend...
Not too much. We are headed to my cousins house for a 4th of July cookout and the boys get to fish.
And the actual 4th we will probably be at a pool some where and do fireworks when it gets dark enough.
What I'm looking forward to next month...
Catching up the blog is first on my list. I'm sure we will swim a time or 500. Vacation will be a blast and I can't wait to get more veggies from my garden.
What else is new...
Since it's been so long there's a lot new. We had soccer season, Easter egg hunts, eye appointments, baptisms, 5k graduation, our baby sitter got married, a mountain trip, a beach trip, the end of AWANA, VBS, spring pictures and swimming lessons. Thank goodness the boys chose NOT to do any summer camps this year. We are having fun hanging out and enjoying the summer. No rushing around to get here and there.
