Dave and Busters

Jackson chose to go to the beach to Dave and Busters for his birthday. We have never been so it was a fun day for all of us!

We ate lunch there first and it wasn't all that great. Not many people were in there so the boys explored the restaurant section since they had been riding in the truck for 2 hours.

After we inhaled our blah food we headed to the arcade. It was super clean but LOUD!

The boys played every game they wanted and didn't have to wait one time.

They loved air hockey. You can see how many people are in the background...not many. That area is where you redeem your tickets for junky toys.

Skee Ball is my all time favorite! I'm glad my boys like it too.

Then there was virtual bowling. And I think they liked that more than skee ball.

Miles liked everything. He is getting very good at the shooting games.

And he got a strike in the bowling game!! He was a little excited.

If there is a motorcycle game Miles and Jackson will to play it. These boys LOVE them.

And Jackson played the money grabber once and this boxing glove fell out of the claw. He begged for one more try and he GOT IT! Oh goodness. That made his day.

After several hours in the arcade Jackson was ready for dinner. He chose the Gulf Stream Cafe. I'm glad this boy has great taste in restaurants!

It's on the inlet in Garden City so you get to watch the boats while you eat.

The view is amazing!

I think it is safe to say that Jackson had a great 10th birthday!

Baptism

Jackson was baptized on April 9. He was super nervous but he did great.

Waiting...

Our pastor, Rod, is saying a little about Jackson.

He poured some holy water in the water with them.

Praying for Jackson

And then his feet fly up! It was the funniest baptism. Everyone will remember it. You can see the bar on the seat and we forgot to tell Jackson to hook his feet in there. Ha!

It was such a sweet baptism.

I'm glad Jackson got to laugh with everyone else!

Second Grade

The first day of school pictures are my favorite! Jackson so was excited and nervous to be heading to second grade. He was up early and helped pack his lunch. He talked to Michael all the way to school and wanted to walk in alone. I was antsy until Lanie posted a picture of Boyd and I saw J sitting in his desk talking to some one across from him.

Here's Lanie's picture. I thanked her for getting J in Boyd's picture!

First day of first grade and the first day of second grade. My baby is growing up fast!

Goodbye CAST!

Jackson's cast was on for 4 weeks. I'm not sure who was happier it was coming off! He can finally get a shower and go swimming. And we have been swimming this past week. Since Wednesday we have been in the pool for at least 10 hours.

One last picture before walking into the doctor's office.

Nurse Billy was awesome! He cut the cast on the bottom first.

Then he cut it on the top. J was a little frighten by the saw but the nurse showed him it would not cut him.

It's just about off! He is getting excited.

The nurse used some clippers to snap the cast apart.

And it's off!!

J held his arm like this for the longest time.

We went to an exam room and J was all smiles and he was so giddy. And his arm had a awful odor. Not just an unpleasant one. It down right stunk. I used the hand sanitizer on it and it only made it worse. I just a wipe on it. Nothing. When we got home I put him in the tub and scrubbed the odor off!

He was all smiles headed home.
This was the shortest visit to a doctor we have ever had! And it included getting the cast off, x-rays and seeing the doctor.
After we got his arm cleaned we headed to the pool.
