NINE

 Happy Birthday Miles and Carter!

It's hard to believe they are NINE!
It seems like they were just this tiny...

And now they are BIG boys!

Miles is laid back and easy going. He loves riding his bike and playing video games. He is quick to help us set the table because this boy LOVES to eat.  He is a boss at dealing with Carter and his wild ways.

Carter is ALWAYS talking and on the go. He doesn't like to sit still and he loves Legos! He is very loving and caring. He will be the first to hug you and then ask to play with your iphone.

Happy Birthday Boys! Love you bunches!

Hello Monday!

I've been thinking about rearranging Miles and Carter's room for a while now. I could not decide how I wanted to do it. I know I want it painted and maybe crown molding but I could not decide how to move the furniture. When my mom gave them a television for their birthday I knew I wanted to get the furniture moved. This past Saturday Michael helped me and we got it done!

Here are several before pictures from several years ago. I forgot to take before pictures Saturday!

Michael made the beds for the boys. He thought I was crazy wanting them painted blue but I still love them. The "bumps" on the sides are pool noodles wrapped in an egg crate so they would not fall out of the bed. And we had a body pillow stuffed next to the wall so they would not fall in the crack. They were super little when we put them in their big beds.

This is standing between the beds looking towards the door.

The dresser was centered with the quilt on the wall but the bed was bigger than the crib. We had to scoot the dresser down a little.

And here's the after pictures! The boys absolutely love it.

This is the view walking into the room. I really wanted the beds on the same wall - foot board to foot board. If the bed frames would have been a little smaller that would have worked. Michael was going to make small frames - like day bed type beds. But as we were moving M's bed back to it's original spot I wanted to try it right here. And I'm glad I did! I really liked it from the minute I stepped back and I'm glad the boys like it as well!

This is from the closet. We moved the dresser to the opposite wall so we could put the television on it. And we moved the little bookcase where M's bed was.

This is standing at the bookcase. The chest of drawers is in the same spot. It just "fits" there.

This is sitting on C's bed.

I need to decide what to do with the pictures above M's bed. They were centered above the dresser. I kinda like them here even though they are not perfectly centered. I could get something to replace the "C" and it will work for M.

But then above C's bed is empty.  I'm thinking about dividing the pictures above M's bed and hanging some above C's bed. I can get a big metal C and M and start with those. Who knows! Any ideas? Suggestions? I welcome all!!

Here's another view. It just seems like something needs to be above the bed. We took down their vinyl names and now their room looks like a big boys room!

And here are the happy boys right before bed. Also, these are the new quilts they got from Boom for Christmas. We love them!

Miles and Carter

This past Sunday Miles and Carter turned SEVEN!!

Miles when he was a few days old still in the hospital.

Carter when he made it back from his 4 night stay from the NICU (which was 30 minutes away from my hospital).

One of the nurses took this picture for me. This is the first time the boys were together since they were born. They were 8 days old here. Miles is on the left and Carter is on the right.

And here they are on their 7th birthday! Isn't it funny how Miles is still on the left? In most pictures of them this is how they stand. Hahaha!!

M and C's 5K Graduation

And just like that 5k is over.

This was the last Monday I would take a child to First Baptist for preschool. We have been with them for 8 years.

They rang doorbell one last time and heard Ms. Martrano say "good morning boys." I was alright with that because this was her last year as well - she retired.

Carter is such a little ham. He can't sit still for anything and is very curious.

My sweet boys. It's hard to believe they are finished with kindergarten.

Miles is my laid back easy going middle child.

Here's most of their class. They had 7 boys and 1 girl and that girl could handle ALL the boys!

Their little caps and gowns were adorable.

My graduates! Carter was happy school was out and Miles was sad. He says he is going to miss his teacher and is scared about 1st grade.

Our favorite 3k teacher - Ms. Martrano. She is the best. We love her and her family so much.

This is from March. Jackson didn't go on a field trip with his class so he got to take the boys to school with me. He wanted to go see this lady. For 2 years he sat in Ms. Martrano's lap for at least 10 minutes before he would go play. She rocked him to sleep when her daughter (Miss Manda) wasn't there.

These are the pictures I could get from Ms. Martrano and Manda!

They even came to see Miles and Carter when we came home from the hospital!

And this sweet lady. She is the best kindergarten teacher ever. She had all 3 of my boys and we all think the world of her.

This is a special picture.
Mrs. Walter's mom, Ms. Hollifield, taught Michael in 4k. Michael's mom taught Mrs. Walter's son, Drew. All 3 of my boys had Mrs. Walter's in 5k and Miles and Carter had Mr. Drew in 3k. It's just one big family!

It's sad that all my boys are finished preschool but I'm glad they will all be at the same elementary school. Even if it's only for 2 years!

McAurther Farms

Michael and I had fun at McArthur Farm with Miles and Carter's class. This farm doesn't have animals but it had a huge play ground!

The class of boys and a girl.

After a hayride to the pumpkin patch and a lesson on how the pumpkins grow the kids were able to run through the patch to find the perfect pumpkin. Everyone had to check several out before they decided on which one they wanted.

After we found the perfect pumpkins we walked to the play area where everyone had the most fun. This slide was huge! I know the kids were tired from running up the hill to slide down.

They were able to race little pedal go carts.

The boys were running in different directions so it was tough to get pictures!

I think they played with EVERYTHING there. (Even the porta potties! EEEKK!)

The corn pit was stinky but the boys loved jumping in it.

I did get them to pause for a quick picture on a combine slide.

A rare picture of us!

Kings of the hay bales!

This is a trampoline type thing. It looked like so much fun.

This is Carter taking a break in a long tube.
They also had a wall of tires to climb and tractor tire swings.

A neat pumpkin house.
And they motto is awesome - Family - Faith - Farming.

And an up close of Miles. Haha! He was mad about something.

This is the other tractor slide. The kids had fun exploring on the tractors and well as playing on all of the cool toys. We had an action packed morning and it was a blast!
