Friday Favorites

It has been a week! We have been on the go ALL week so today is a LAZY day for us. Next week starts VBS so it's going to another busy week but it's going to be FUN!

After the gazillon doughnuts we ate last week I figured we need to slowly detox our system. My mom had a doctors's appointment Monday (and Tuesday) in Florence. We happen to pass a KK on the way home so it made perfectly good sense to stop and get a dozen or so.

And I'm going to be honest here. I can't stand seeing the KK box on my counter. I have no explanation for it. That's why my doughnuts are on my cake plate. And I have decided the sour cream cake doughnuts are the BEST!

It's SUMMER READING every day at my house. Every one reads for at least 20 minutes...including me.

If you do not follow LaLa Life Book Club on Instagram you really should. She has some amazing book reviews. They are some of my favorites!

Our kids at church do a Bible Science group on Wednesday nights. They all had fun this week with fire! Ha! They talked about serpents and made snakes 'grow'. It was pretty cool.

Our Children's Director also does Marvelous Monday's with our kiddos. They've been to the movies and this past Monday they went swimming. She has lots of fun stuff for the kids this summer.
I saw these cute shirts on GroopDealz and maybe Jane. There's a new local business that does custom shirts so I'm going to see if they can do something similar for me. I'm all about supporting locals!

OMG! This is my absolute FAVORITE! We have had LOTS of rabbits in our area this year. We have enjoyed watching them in our yard and last night we found where a mom has her nest. I didn't want to do a garden this year so I haven't touched my little garden spot. I know it looks bad but that's where she has her nest! I'm so excited.  I can't wait to see the babies!

Friday Favorites

Hello Weekend!!

Bradford Pear trees are so pretty but they are NOT a favorite of mine. They STINK!!

We have 4 in our back yard. I'll be so glad when they finish blooming then they will be a favorite.

Playing with friends is always a favorite!

Soccer season is a favorite especially for Jackson!

New to me quilts! I love getting Boom's hand me down quilts. They are definitely a favorite!

Seeing my new books to read makes me giddy. Am I the only one who loves to have a stack of books to read at all time?

And these are my library finds.
I can't wait to read them. :)

Friday Favorites

I'm back with a crazy assortment of my favorites from this week!

-one-

SNOW!!! (still)

I took this picture as soon as it started snowing. I didn't get snow suits out because we were "only" getting a little snow. Haha! I was WRONG!!

Two hours later here we are. Sigh.... It's a favorite when they can get dressed alone and play a long time outside! And their new winter coats came from Lands End last year. They were on clearance. :)

This is our street. It was wonderful! A little icy since the snow was light and fluffy but it was still wonderful.

GoodReads Reading Challenge for 2018

I'm going to read 75 books this year. Reading is one of my favorites!

Here's my books I got for Christmas and my birthday. I also got a Barnes and Noble gift card. I can't wait to shop!

A new QUILT!

My mother in law (Boom) made me a new quilt for Christmas and each boy got a new one as well.  It's a favorite and it keeps me warm! Speaking of warm she also made this -

It's a rice heating pad. It has 4 sections inside filled with rice. I heat it up in the microwave for a minute or two and it's super warm. Like almost too hot for me. It's awesome for my neck and back and it's absolutely wonderful!

 My Planner and notebooks

I'm loving my Erin Condren planner. I've never had a dark cover and it's my favorite so far!

I have the vertical layout this year and I love it. It is so much easier for me. I always let Jackson give me this for Christmas each year. I think I'm going to let him pick out the cover this year and surprise me! :)

And I'm loving my notebooks. These cuties came from Wal-Mart and I added my monogram.

My Cutting Board

My new cutting board is my most favorite by far! Micheal LOVES building things. His shop is his happy place. He doesn't even mind my "honey do" list of stuff to build! He's excited about it. I'm getting a farmhouse table one day. And I want new beds for Miles and Carter's bed room. I'm excited about getting new furniture and he is excited about building it. It's a win win situation!

Hello Friday!

Today really doesn't seem like Friday to me. The boys went back to school Tuesday, got out early Wednesday and didn't go Thursday or today.  Hello SNOW!

When there is snow (or a hurricane) I want to eat. Am I crazy?!?  If you like cinnamon rolls you NEED to try Sister Schubert's. They are delicious! I saw them on instagram but I could not find them around here. I ran in a local grocery store to get a chuck roast for my ninja I spotted these. Yeah for me!

I bought a Ninja 4 in 1 since my crock pot had issues. So far so good! I've made a roast and veggie soup. It came with a 100 plus recipe book and I'll be making some new stuff next week.

Carter asked for a cotton candy machine for Christmas. Santa was kind enough to bring him one. It took me a minute to get the hang of it but I finally did -

Kind of. This is the most I could "roll" onto the stick. I can't wait to do it again. :)

The boys saw these chairs in HearthSong and circled them for Christmas. My inlaws gave the chairs to the boys and they are awesome! Miles and Carter sit in them to play tablets in the office. Hearthsong has lots of neat toys!

SNOW!

The weather has been iffy for here for a few days. Our area was supposed to get a "dusting" or a "trace" of snow. At last measure while it was still snowing we had 3 inches! This is the pretty fluffy type of snow. It's almost like powdered sugar. The bad thing is it's packing down on the roads when people are driving and it is freezing. So every one is encouraged to stay home.

And that means we are on day 2 of no school. Michael and I had fun riding the boys around in the golf cart. It was COLD but so much fun. He is back at work today and the boys and I are keeping warm inside.
