Friday Favorites

Last week I posted this picture of a wreath. I really liked it but I didn't want to pay $150 for it. It's totally worth it but a wreath for that much money isn't happening around my house.

Now, my wreath is not where as good as this one but I like it and that is all that matters. I did find the exact ribbon but it was close to $50. That's not happening either. I had to go with my second choice and I'm glad I did.

Our golf cart started having a couple of issues so Micheal decided to over haul it. That means adding a lift kit. Seriously people...he is pimping our golf cart.

Here's the old tires compared to the new ones. He may need to add a running boards or a step so I can get on the thing!

And here it is with all the tires on. This is what it looks like right now. He really took it all apart and ordered mostly new parts. I had to ask if this was cheaper than buying a new one! Haha! FedEx and UPS have stopped at our house everyday for the past week or so.

I found this image on google. This is probably the before and after of ours. It's the same colors as well. I might see if he ordered the roll cage thing on the front of the new one. I'm sure we NEED that too.

Last week I showed my new to me quilt. My mother in law made new shams to go with it and I LOVE them.

I love reading. I read ALL of the time and I'm always looking for new books to read. This might be my next book. I haven't decided. It has good reviews on GoodReads and I've heard good things about it.

I finished this book this week and NO! I wasn't happy with the ending or the last half of the book.

I wonder where people get the books they read? Do they buy real books or do they read them on a Nook or Kindle?  Does any one still go to the library? The boys and I go at least every week or two. They all three love it. We go to a local bookstore as well and they just reopened with a "used" section.  I do read some books on my Nook but it depends on what all is going on. If we are mostly outside playing I rather have a real book.

Here's Jackson and his best buddy at the All A Banquet.

Jackson and the superintendent, Dr. Ingram. This is two years in a row Jackson has made straight a's. I'm so proud of him!

And one more of J and his buddy with their trophies!

Everyday Life Week 15

April 9 - 15

It's soccer time! Jackson scored the first goal of the season and he played a great game. We are so proud of him! We do not keep score but his team won 4-0. Just saying.

We didn't make it to church Sunday morning but afternoon pictures aren't much easier. This is before Awana's. We only have a couple more Sunday's of Awana's and it's over until the fall. This year has flown by!

This made me chuckle. Haha!!

I can't stand lizards. I wish this booger and his/her friend would move on to the neighbors house. I'm sure it's better over there. They like our deck and just recently this one likes the screen. It makes be holler each time I look out the window and see it.

J didn't feel well Tuesday so he hung out with me all day. We took the M and C to preschool and ran some errands before vegging out on the couch watching netflix and playing the Wii all afternoon. Thank goodness the medicine worked and he isn't near as stuffy as he was earlier in the week.

Gang signs at the age of 5. These boys are a stinking hoot! I laugh at them all the time. If they know I'm taking a picture this is what they do. I will embarrass them one day!

M and C's teacher posted this the other day. There's always ONE in the group who has to be different. Haha!

Seriously... Why do I torture myself some days? Haha! It's always fun to take all 3 boys grocery shopping and fabric shopping! It's never a dull moment with these boys.

Friday Favorites & SUYL

Only 5 more weeks of school until...

I have a feeling I'm going to spend ALL summer at the pool with 3 little fish and I can't wait!

I'm including Kelly's Korner SUYL with my Favorites since today's topic is Online Boutiques. I love shopping online but I can't stand shipping items back that doesn't work!

I have really liked everything I've ordered from GroopDealz. I had a problem with a shirt and the customer service was AWESOME! The prices can't be beat.

I've ordered several items from Kiki LaRue. I've loved tunics and dresses I ordered and the prices are not bad.

I know Zappos isn't a boutique but I sure love ordering my shoes from them! Free shipping both ways? Can't beat that!

I've been using coconut oil on my dry skin. It works really well and it doesn't smell. I have read where it's good for tons of things so I'm going to try some of them. And I really thought it was only good for cooking! Mix a little with chocolate chips and microwave for ice cream. It's the home made version of the hard shell topping. My boys love it as much as I do!

Organic apple cider vinegar. What? This is also something that I'm trying. It has lots of uses. I used it as a skin toner but I really didn't like smelling like vinegar. I'll do it again but I will have to wash my afterwards. It can also be used for a drink, for your hair and helps with sunburn.

Another new to me quilt!

Just don't ask my mother in law about this one. She may not make us another quilt after what all she went through to alter this one. It was a wee bit short so she said she would add a border around it. She dyed the material to look like the rest of the quilt. Something crazy happened with the dye and it didn't set like it was supposed to. It took her DAYS to clean her dryer. If you need to know how to deep clean your dryer ask her! She's a pro at it now. And I have this bright quilt as a result!
It looks kinda blah with plain white shams.

Hopefully I (or Boom) can get some more material and make the green shams. Or something besides plain white. And the grey throw pillows are perfect!

Here's the famous border after the failed attempt at dying the material. I LOVE this material. The design and colors are the BEST!

I fell in love with this wreath. I can't tell you why I like it so much. But for $150 I can attempt to make something similar. I'm sure it's worth that and more but I am not going to spend that much on a wreath! I bought everything except the ribbon at Hobby Lobby and it was all 50% off. I found the exact ribbon on amazon but I'm not paying THAT much for it. So, I'm looking around for some ribbon. It may end up being polka dots and chevron or polka dots and plaid. Who knows! Whatever I find and like I will use! If it turns out really well I'll post a picture. If it's ugly I'll just put it on my back door instead of the front door!

Happy Friday!!

Everyday Life Week 14

April 2 - 8

We may have cut down a tree but we planted many more!

Sunday porch picture! Getting 3 boys to smile isn't easy. At least I tried.

I'm so glad we have ONE tree that the boys can climb.

And this goober will read any where!

Amen....

Who knows how many magazines people really ordered but Jackson got a 3D shirt and...

a spy kit with super cool glasses. The things we do for our kid's schools!

J gets to water his garden.

All I'm going to say is AMEN! I'm ready for spring.

Soccer practice is always fun.

So true!

Carter thought he was being sneaky...but this momma knows what goes on. Especially with MY jelly beans. Well...most of the good ones are gone. Why do they even make yellow and orange jelly beans? Such a waste of time!
