Happy Birthday Jackson!

It's hard to believe that Jackson was 1 this past Wednesday!

Here are a couple of pictures from Jackson's birthday party. He had fun opening his gifts and even shared them with Austyn! I would post pictures of Jackson eating his cake but he did not like it. As soon as the icing was on his hands he started crying.

We had another party planned for last weekend but Jackson had an ear infection with a high fever so we had to cancel it. Poor little fellow is finally getting back to his normal self. Jackson missed playing with his friends!

Pumpkin Patch

We were really late getting to the pumpkin patch but we finally made it! Jackson loved looking at all of the pumpkins.

Happy Halloween

We went to church Wednesday night for our Fall Festival. Jackson loved every minute of wearing his costume which surprised us. He even played his first game of pick up the ducks in the pond. He picked up several ducks and even splashed in the water. All of us had a blast!

11 Months Old

I should know by now that it is very difficult to get really good pictures of Jackson before we leave for church on Sunday mornings. These are a couple I was able to get this past Sunday - the day he was 11 months old! He looks like a big boy in his new outfit and shoes!

At least he didn't run away from me this week!

Jackson was attached to this yellow shovel Sunday. I thought he would throw it down in the car but no - he had to take it into church with him. When Michael and I went to get him after the services he was just about asleep still holding his shovel!

He loved all of the attention at my mom's house Sunday afternoon. He was being a big cheese ball the entire time we were there!

Does my child try to eat EVERYTHING in sight? Hopefully he will outgrow this one day - SOON!

Take OFF!

Ms. Joy told us that Jackson took a couple of steps yesterday. Of course he would not do it for us. When we got home tonight, we decided to see what he would do. He is taking two and three steps and then sitting down. Michael and I will surely be chasing the little fellow around very soon! Doesn't he look like a little mummy walking with his arms out in front of him? I'll post a video soon of him taking his first few steps!

As you can tell from these pictures, Jackson was not a happy camper going to church last Sunday. He was so sleepy and mad at me for putting on his socks and shoes. After the first picture he crawled away from the camera and took off behind Michael!

This is how Jackson likes to sleep while he is at Boom and Pops house. Wouldn't everyone like to sleep like this?

A BIG Day!

Michael and I have been working with Jackson on waving bye to people for several weeks. The little booger was holding out on us! Jackson and I went to Belk Saturday and the first person he waved bye to was the sales clerk! He doesn't just wave his hand - it's his entire arm. He has constantly been waving when we say bye bye.

This next thing he did while we were playing later on in the day was clap. We "play" patty cake and just clap in general all of the time so when he sat up from getting his diaper changed he decided it was time to clap for me! He thought he would clap while he was eating his dinner last night! He was so funny eating and clapping.

10 Months Old

Jackson started "pointing" at random things this past week. Here he was showing Michael the moon!

All tuckered out

The little fellow was pooped by the time we got him in from playing in the sand and in the pool. Too bad it wasn't a long nap!

What child could leave the beach without a t-shirt? Jackson's grandparents got this cute shirt for him!

Jackson liked all of the attention on him while he was in the pool. He would splash and squeal and then look to see if we were watching. While we were there, he started doing an extremely cheesy grin. I wasn't able to catch it on camera but hopefully I will get it soon!
