Everyday Life Week 24

June 11 - June 17

These two were worn out from a week at the beach.

Michael showed the boys how a magnifying glass would make the sunlight super hot. The stem of the pear caught on fire.

And then he made a C in the pear. The boys said it was neat but not too exciting.

Monday was pool day!

Jackson finally got the all clear from Dr. Gilpin! His arm doesn't even look like it was broken last year.

Miles lost his first tooth!! He was so excited and didn't cry at all. He was ready for the money the tooth fairy was going to leave. And Carter was upset because he didn't lose a tooth.

Miles plopped in the chair and said he was sooooo bored. His legs were tired and his arms hurt but his hands really wanted to play the Wii. So I sent him in the den to play with Legos.

Miles and Carter went to a little camp. They had so much fun and were sad when it ended.

This is how we shopped Friday afternoon. It looked like the bottom was going to fall out of the sky at any time. We went thru the store super fast! And it didn't rain. Haha! At least I got a good workout pushing the buggy!

Friday evening was perfect for some swinging.

This is how the sky looked most of the day! It was so pretty but not much rain.

Everyday Life Week 23

June 4 - June 10

BEACH WEEK!

The boys put on their bathing suits after supper and we headed to the beach. They were excited! Miles wasn't too interested in the ocean last year but he got in and played this year.

Rainy days at the beach means the malls are packed! Luckily we went in the morning and it wasn't bad.

That afternoon it was still raining on and off so we played inside. Jackson liked the slinky and was bummed it didn't walk down the stairs.

They also did puzzles and played with the toy from Sara J's.

We hung out on the porch and watched the boats.

We went to the aquarium.

We saw all types of neat fish. The sharks were fun to watch.

The boys played in the ocean.

And they played in the pool. Miles discovered he can swim a little without his bubble. Carter can too and stayed under the water most of the time. Everyone had a blast!!

Everyday Life Week 22

May 28 - June 3

It's been a busy summer! I'm trying to catch up with everything that's been happening around here.

We've played outside...A LOT! It looks like these boys are planning their next move.

After a long hot day it's always fun to cool off in the sprinkler!

It rained several days in a row. The boys were bored out of their minds. I finally sent them to the porch to play.

The pool toys were out so they tried on the masks and goggles. After being outside for a while Michael took them for a ride on the golf cart. The rain had stopped so they hopped on and drove off. Within 5 minutes it started pouring rain and the boys loved it! One of them said it was better than the splash pad.

This is how I grocery shop during the summer.

We look at toys first and then make our way towards the grocery section.

The boys played with this bucket and the water hose several days. Carter is the only one small enough to fit in it!

We ran lots of errands and the boys were troopers!

We had to let everyone try on sunglasses and hats.

And stop by the bookstore. And just so you know...it's not a trip to Burry Bookstore unless some one has to go to the bathroom. I mean every time we go in one of them says he has to potty! And if one goes they all have to go. I feel like I  should start taking them toilet paper! HA!!

Everyday Life Week 21

May 21-27

Michael washed our house and the boys wanted to help. That lasted about 2 minutes then all they wanted was to be sprayed with the pressure washer.

This boy was the TOP AR reader in the 2nd grade! He received several new books to read this summer.

This was posted on NHE facebook page. These are the top AR readers for each grade. Jackson showed them boys can read too!

Nothing beats a doctor's appointment. Miles had a sinus infection.

We rode bikes a while before we picked J up from school.

This is how we cool off when it is hot. Apparently it's very important to wear masks while playing with the water hose.

Just some water gun fights with goggles and masks.

Grocery shopping now includes looking at the toys.

The last day of school Jackson's school participated in the red nose campaign. Some generous person donated red noses for the entire school!

And some one has fallen in love with Ms. Pam's chicken.

We learned to jump off our swing set.

We love to get hot and sweaty and cool off with Sonic drinks.

Everyday Life Week 20

May 14 - May 20

The boys.
Jackson has been wanting more of my brother's BBQ so Brandon smoked a couple of boston butts and brought them over for a Mother's Day/Birthday supper. Turner had fun playing with the big boys and we had delicious BBQ.

This boy is allergic to cucumbers. This boys loves pickles. We let him eat one every now and then and it's heaven to Carter. Pickles and apples make him itch. We were told by the doctor to keep giving them to him in small portions.

Miles and Carter plants more seeds in the garden. Let's see if spring onions survive.

Sometimes before bed the boys rather color and draw than watch TV.

Miles and pizza are BEST friends. He would eat it every day if we let him.

Miles and Carter had fun at the splash pad with their school. As we were leaving Jackson's school was lining up to go in. The splash pad has been busy with school groups the past two weeks.

AMEN!!

Jackson's teacher posted cute pictures on FB so I'm sharing them. They had field day last week and went to the splash pad.

He had fun playing tug of war. I think is was one of his favorite things.

And she posted pictures of the gifts people sent.

I walked in the den and Michael had the boys watching River Monsters. Thank goodness all of them slept! That show creeps me out!

Miles and Carter got to sit with us for the 5K graduation. They loved sitting in the balcony.
