Only in the SOUTH...

We pull our kids on the sled...

Others use golf carts...

But is was very pretty!!

This was on our back steps. I'm not sure exactly how much we had but it was a lot of the South!

Jackson says...No like snow

Jackson did not like the snow while it was falling Friday night. His words were "No like snow." He said it was wet and cold. But once he got outside Saturday he didn't want to go in! He was having a blast out there playing.

Daddy's Little Helper

Last weekend Daddy worked on the moulding in the kitchen. Jackson got his tool box and helped out. I'm sure he is going to be a great helper when he gets older!

No power? No problem?

Until it gets 65 degrees inside! All of us were curled with with blankets talking and playing. Jackson was fine until it start getting dark. He tried to turn the lights on and could not understand why he could not watch Max and Ruby. Luckily the power came back on after 4 1/2 hours!

We played with lots of toys and left them on the floor.

We ate crackers and curled up in quilts.

We looked outside...

And saw ice.

Quilt!

The pictures were taken from Jackson's quilt made especially for him by Boom! We have to snuggle with the quilt each day and talk about the trucks, tractors, and school bus.

Thanks Boom!

Christmas Day 2009

After we played with our Santa presents it was time to run over to Boom and Pop's for a day of fun! Jackson was really into opening gifts by this point.

Daddy and Jackson

In this package was a special gift made by Boom. I'll do another post that one soon!

Here he is opening some of daddy's gifts.

Can we open these now??

This one is really his - I think.

Trying to snag another one from Boom!!

I've been good!

We had lots of fun seeing what all Santa brought this year!! Jackson did not know what to do with everything. Once he saw his BIG tractor that was it. He was in love!!

We had to push him around the den for a while since it was raining cats and dogs!

Checking out the sit and spin. He plays with these at school and loves them! I think there is a picture just like this of me from when I was little. Mom - we need to find it! Oh- and excuse the pj's. The night time diapers didn't hold up!!

Dear Santa

Jackson's letter to Santa was in the local paper recently. He asked for a blue tractor. The closer to Christmas that is what he kept saying he wanted. Not a BIG tractor or a tractor but a BLUE tractor. Santa had a John Deere tractor and we all know they are green. Santa found out that a blue tractor is a Ford tractor or a New Holland tractor (thanks to google). After some last minute calling around and a very nice Santa friend, look what Jackson got for Christmas from Tickle--

a LITTLE BLUE TRACTOR!!

Traditions

For the past two years Jackson and Austyn have had matching pjs to wear on Christmas Eve. I posted the "best" picture earlier but thought it was cute to show how I finally got one "good" shot of them together!

Here's Austyn being a clown for the camera.
Trying to get the two of them to show me their names.

How about standing? Nope. Jackson was too interested in a new book! (He still plays with this book. I'm not 100% sure who gave it to him but THANKS! He loves it!!)

Finally on the right track. Get them at the piano. That way Jackson can hold his book and I can get a picture!! Aren't those the cutest rears you've ever seen??

See- They are really playing with toys while I am trying to get a cute picture!!

Christmas Eve 2009

Christmas Eve is always hectic at my parents house. We have tons of fun with tons of people there piled into one room!

Jackson and Austyn tearing into a present. They thought they were supposed to open each others gifts!
Here's some of the people!

Here I am getting Jackson's pjs on!!

Here's Princess Ariane getting her jewerly on! She loved all of her girlie gifts!
