Fall Festival

Here are several picutures from the Fall Festival our church had Wednesday night. Jackson didn't like the crowd of people and he didn't want to ride the train. But he loved running around outside.

Here is Austyn posing with Ashleigh!

Austyn loved the train.

He did like the carnival games.

It looks like they are arguing in this picture!!

Jackson and Austyn

Sunday afternoon Austyn wanted to go home with me from my mom's house because she wanted to play with Jack Jack. Who could tell this little girl no??

Austyn and Jackson had a yummy dinner (chicken nuggets and fries). What else will a 2 year old eat?
They played and played and played. Jackson likes to hide and we must find him. The sneaky little booger can be so quiet and still. Luckily we do not have many places he can hide!

And he always gets excited when we find him.

They jumped on Jackson's big boy bed and had lots of fun! Austyn did teach him to crawl over the little rail of his bed. Thanks Austyn!!

Michael and I even gave both of them baths and sent Austyn home ready for bed! I think both of them had lots of fun! And it made me feel really good that Austyn asked to come over! I'm sure these two will get into LOTS of trouble together in the future!

Oh my...

Jackson is sleeping in a BIG boy bed!! Michael and I decided that it was past time for Jackson to be in a toddler bed. We had to make sure his room was "Jackson" proof before we converted the crib. He has two closet doors which have locks now since he can open them. We had to put the door knob baby proof "things" on the bathroom door so he would not go play in the toilet. Finally we had to make sure the baby gate was secured. I will absolutely croak the first time he crawls over the baby gate and makes his way downstairs!!

Here he is playing in his crib for the last time!! He really liked getting in there and jumping!

Helping daddy convert his crib to the toddler bed! This was early Saturday morning before I had a chance to take off his pjs!

Crawling in his big boy bed for the first time!

FREEDOM!!
This first two mornings we went to get Jackson he was on the floor in front of his bed! We did have a nice thick quilt (thanks Boom) to put in front of his bed in case he got out and decided to sleep on the floor! Day three he was still in the bed when he woke up! Michael and I are waiting to hear him play in the middle of the night. I'm sure it will be sooner than later!

2k

This past week has been exciting! Jackson started 2k and has loved it so far! I just hope he continues to love school this much. We think Jackson out grew his daycare. He loved going there but all of a sudden he wasn't happy. He wanted more to do and 2k was the answer!

Eating breakfast before his first day of school!

Dressed and ready to go!

He looks sad here but that's probably because I was crying like a baby when we left him! He actually didn't cry. He had tons of toys to play with and his good buddy Reese was in his class.

Here's a family picture. Thank goodness this was taken before I cried too much.

Yummy to Jackson's Tummy

Since little Jackson is sick right now, I thought I would post something fun from our recent beach trip. Jackson really liked these little "ice cream" cones which were really chocolate dipped marshmellows in teeny little ice cream cones. Perfect for his little hands.

Random Pictures

Here are a couple of random pictures from our vacation this year! It has been so much fun - I hate for it to end.

Hugo - 20 Years later

All is well in Garden City 20 years after Hugo! It was neat being at the beach that was just about destroyed when Hugo came roaring thru.

Pool Time

Jackson really liked the kiddie pool. He wanted to shoot the big water gun but wasn't big enough!
He was such a big boy walking around the pool taking in all of the sites. He didn't know what to do first.

I think we could have stayed at the beach house and let Jackson play in the sink! Who knew he would sit there as long as he did playing with his sippy cup.

Fun in the Sand

It took a while but Jackson finally started playing in the sand.

This is what entertained Jackson for a long time! He would find a shell and push it into the sand. It amazed him! I'm sure we will be doing this when we head back to the beach in a few weeks!

sea shell by the sea shore

Finally...

Jackson had his first hair cut. Carla was wonderful! When we arrived she opened a drawer that was full of rollers for him to scatter all over her shop. He loved them! I always thought that the first hair cut would be horrible with Jackson screaming and having a fit. Thank goodness I was wrong! He played with the rollers and Carla sat on the floor with him to trim around his ears. And yes- that's all he needed was a little trim around his ears. Maybe before his starts first grade he will need a "real" hair cut!
